North China's Shanxi province will participate in the construction of the Yellow River Basin Pilot Free Trade Zone to contribute to the basin's high-quality development.

This was according to the Yellow River Basin Pilot Free Trade Zone Alliance Launch and Opening-up High-Quality Development Conference held in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, on Aug 23.

The alliance consists of nine provinces and autonomous regions along the Yellow River, namely the provinces of Shandong, Shanxi, Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Henan, as well as the Ningxia Hui and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions.

At the conference, the nine provinces and autonomous regions reached a series of development consensuses on platform linkage, industrial integration, and channel co-construction.

The conference released 56 high-quality service items to promote the development of enterprises, involving integrated regional collaborative government affairs services, platform services for cross-border trade facilitation, commerce and logistics access, industry-university-research integration, and financial and data empowerment.

The alliance also established a cooperation mechanism for the social credit system, administrative approval services, intellectual property protection, and logistics and transportation services at the conference.
