Income of Hechi residents up 4.4% in H1

According to the press conference on Hechi survey data for the first half of 2022 held on July 25, the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents in the city during the six-month period was 10,583 yuan ($1,567), a year-on-year increase of 4.4 percent.

Among them, the disposable income of urban residents was 17,469 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.8 percent, while that of rural residents was 6,278 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.5 percent and a growth rate ranking third in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

In the first half of the year, the overall production in animal husbandry in Hechi improved, with the total meat output being 134,800 metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.33 percent, ranking first in the region. Among them, the cumulative number of beef cattle slaughtered was 140,300, an increase of 18.7 percent year-on-year, while that of mutton sheep was 481,500, increasing 18.81 percent year-on-year, ranking first in the region.

During the first half of the year, the city's food prices fell by 1.7 percent over the same period of the previous year, of which the price of livestock and meat fell by 11.5 percent year-on-year. The price of pork dropped by 22.7 percent compared with the same period of the previous year, mainly due to a combination of many factors like the recovery of live pig production capacity, COVID-19 pandemic control efforts, as well as the implementation of measures to ensure supply and stabilize prices.

In the first half of the year, consumer prices in Hechi rose by 2 percent year–on-year. The overall price level showed a moderate upward trend. The market prices of important livelihood commodities remained stable, while market prices were controlled within a reasonable range.
