There is nothing scientific researchers like more than to contribute to the country's scientific development, said Feng Zedong.

Feng is a delegate to the 14th CPC Jiangsu Provincial Congress and deputy director of the Wuxi Institute of Quantum Perception.

In 2018, Feng was invited to Huishan district of Wuxi to be in charge of the oil well logging laboratory, part of the Wuxi Institute of Quantum Perception.

"Energy source exploration is the key strategic task in China and quantum technology can provide the most advanced instrument of exploration," noted Feng.

Over the past four years, the institute has established several research centers for logging instruments, electron microscopes, and measuring systems, a significant contribution to the exploration of unconventional oil and gas mineral deposits in Southwest China.

It has also received 28 authorized patents and assisted the establishment of several industrial platform companies with a combined operating revenue of 300 million yuan ($44.79 million).

"Self-developed technologies are key to leading and innovative industrial development," said Feng.

According to Feng, the institute is currently developing quantum sensors and other cutting-edge instrument and applying quantum technology to the new-generation information technology industry, including internet of things, new energy and semiconductors.
