Lotus flowers bloom in Yangzhou

As summer approaches, over 3,000 vats of lotuses are in full bloom at the Jiangsu Lixiahe Agricultural Science Research Institute in Guanglin district of Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, which is located inside the famous Slender West Lake scenic area.

There are more than 400 varieties of lotus at the institute, including rare varieties from all over the country, as well as new varieties cultivated by the institute's aquatic flower research group.

The lotus flowers at the institute reach two meters in diameter, while pocket lotus that can grow in the shape of a teacup are also available for viewing. Go to enjoy some natural beauty!
