Technology innovation center launched in Suzhou New District

A technology innovation center for high-end medical devices in Suzhou New District in East China's Jiangsu province was recently launched after receiving approval from the provincial department of science and technology.

The center is the first provincial-level technology innovation institution for medical devices and will focus on driving innovation related to medical imaging equipment, diagnostic checking, medical robots and implanted medical devices.

A local official said that the district will leverage the center to integrate resources across the industry chain and attract more top talents to promote innovation.

The official added that the center will be developed into a national-level innovation institution in the future.
