The Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering in Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu province has been offering high-quality education to overseas talents.

The school has been cooperating with overseas Chinese companies and local governments in foreign countries to establish branches and academies. Its branch in Mandalay, Myanmar, which was set up in 2017, has to date provided training sessions for about 300 locals.

In addition to building schools, the cooperation between the technical school and companies involves designing education plans and courses, as well as aiding students' study and practice. For example, the school has sent a number of teachers abroad to conduct training courses, while the companies subsidize part of tuition fees and living expenses for students who obtain diplomas.

According to survey results, 60 percent of graduates from the vocational school's overseas education programs have worked in Chinese companies as technicians or management personnel. The school has also offered jobs or internships at various companies, including Jiangsu Best Garment Group, to about 100 international students from Myanmar and Bangladesh.

To help foreign students develop their cross-cultural competence, the school offers a wide range of classes on Chinese language, history, economy, politics and culture. It has also organized many visits to villages, museums, and historical sites, various festival activities and club activities.
