Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province has prioritized the internet of things in the development of its digital economy over the past 13 years, transforming itself into a hub for the digital economy.

Over the past few years, Wuxi has organized six editions of the World IoT Expo, which saw the participation of 700,000 professionals from 47 countries and regions and more than 3,000 IoT enterprises and resulted in the construction of IoT projects in over 830 cities in 78 countries and regions.

Last year, the industrial scale of IoT in the city exceeded 350 billion yuan ($52.13 billion), and the industry was included among the first batch of advanced national manufacturing clusters.

The operating revenue of the IoT industry in Wuxi is expected to increase 15 percent year-on-year.

Internet of vehicles, an important part of the emerging digital industry, is also crucial to the building of a digital Wuxi.

The Institute of Deep Perception Technology in Wuxi New District is engaged in the development of products involving roadside perception, intelligent lighting, and power sensing, and its latest holographic solution to overloading has recently been applied in Wuxi.

The Nanshan IoV Town in Xishan district, the first IoV-themed special town in China, is home to more than 40 leading IoV enterprises and innovative enterprise platforms.

The town's Xishan IoV Operation and Management Center collects real-time data on nearly 300 crossings in the district and guides the running of vehicles based on mass data analysis.
