SND company contributes to 'core' of COVID-19 test kits

Formula Technology, a scientific and technological material company based in the Xushuguan Economic Zone in Suzhou New District, has been doing its part in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic over the past two years.

The company, which specializes in the production of fiber desiccant for the biological and pharmaceutical industries as well as fiber consumables for in vitro rapid medicinal tests, has achieved a significant share in the domestic market for fiber consumables for COVID-19 and antigen test kits.

According to Hu Ting, chief of the company, government-mandated manufacturers of COVID-19 and antigen test kits, such as Lepu Medical Technology (Beijing) Co, Hangzhou Alltest Biotech Co, Hangzhou Biotest Biotech Co, and Beijing Jinwofu Bioengineering Technology Co, are among his customers.

"We currently have roughly 300 customers across the country and can produce key components for about 300 million COVID-19 and antigen test kits per month," Hu said.

Hu added that to follow in the footsteps of upstream biomedical enterprises, he and his employees have been working overtime to ensure a sufficient supply of materials. His company has also expanded from an original 6,000 to 10,000 square meters and brought in advanced production equipment.

"All our efforts are in anticipation of the end of the virus' stranglehold," Hu said.
