The East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) held a symposium on April 22, in which a three-year work plan on city fine management was released.
Officials from the valley's working and administrative committees, as well as representatives of industrial parks, districts and State-owned enterprises, participated in the meeting.
Zhang Yongqiang, director of OVC's administrative committee, addressed the meeting, calling for strong efforts to promote the integration of science, industry, people and city, and build the valley into a model for megacity governance.
Specifically, the valley will work to build the East Lake Science City, especially its smart device industrial park area, bring the scientific innovation to a new level by giving full play to the valley's educational and industrial resources, enhance the protection of historical and cultural heritage, set up cultural facilities such as city book rooms and cultural centers, form a modern and systematic all-weather safety guarantee system, and strictly adhere to the road chief system.
