Southwest China’s first IP protection center passes acceptance

On April 14, the China (Kunming) Intellectual Property Protection Center passed the online acceptance inspection of the expert group of the China National Intellectual Property Administration.

The center is the first prefectural (city)-level IP protection center in Southwest China that has been approved for construction and passed the inspection.

The IP protection center is based in central Yunnan and faces South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is a comprehensive center integrating intellectual property protection, service, exchange, training and cultural dissemination.

The center will provide "one-stop" services for the creation, utilization, protection and management of intellectual property and create a new hub for intellectual property services in the Kunming area of the pilot free trade zone.

After the center is put into operation, it will carry out rapid and collaborative protection of intellectual property around the two industries of biological product manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing equipment.

The center will also carry out services such as rapid patent examination and pre-examination of rights confirmation, rapid protection of intellectual property rights, collaborative protection of intellectual property rights, intellectual property operation services, intellectual property public services, intellectual property strategic research and intellectual property talent training.
