Gold Rush in China

There has been a gold rush in China recently, and major jeweller makers went out of their way to create more fashionable gold jewelry, attracting more and more young people in the gold rush.

Since December 2021, gold jewelry orders have shot up phenomenally, especially among the youth. Orders by those under the age of 27 have more than doubled.

Artisanal gold, 3D hard gold and gold bars are the three most popular products in the market.

China has witnessed a robust gold market last year, buoyed by greater global demands. The wholesale price of gold jewelry has exceeded 400 yuan ($62.76) per gram, a new high in recent memory.
