Huangpu products to reach BRI countries with charted trains

Communications investment groups of Guangzhou and Guangzhou Development District (GDD) signed a cooperation framework agreement on March 29 to carry out cooperation in sectors spanning smart transportation operations and modern logistics.

The two parties will jointly establish a railway transportation hub featuring cross-border e-commerce and cold chain logistics at Guangzhou East Road-Railway Intermodal Transportation Hub. A cross-border e-commerce industrial park will be built in Guangzhou Free Trade Zone and a Huangpu-charted train route will be opened to promote GDD products to countries alongside the Belt and Road.

It was put forward by the two parties that they will grasp development opportunities to formulate a new economic pattern integrating transportation, logistics, as well as industries, while the Guangzhou East Road-Railway Intermodal Transportation Hub will be built into a central node for the country's dual-circulation development pattern, in which domestic and international economic development reinforce each other.
