Two industrial parks in Qingdao win national titles

The Qingdao Area of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone won the title of "Top 10 Industrial Parks with the Most Investment Value in 2021", and the Sino-German Ecopark won the title of "2021 the Most Satisfactory Industrial Park for Foreign Investment" during the 2nd Global Promotion Event for Foreign Business Investment, which was held in Haikou, Hainan province on Jan 10.

The conference was hosted by the Global Times and released the Report of City Investment Attraction Index in China.

It is the third national title that the Qingdao Area of Shandong FTZ has won since it won the "2020 Top 10 Industrial Parks with the Most Investment Value in China" and "2020 Top 10 Industrial Parks for High-quality Development, Reform and Innovation".

Thanks to the sound business environment, Sino-German Ecopark has won the titles of "China's Most Vibrant Industrial Park in Opening and Development", and "China's Top 10 Industrial Parks for International Business Environment Construction".

In 2021, the Qingdao Area of the Shandong FTZ raked in 180 billion yuan ($28.28 billion) in foreign trade, a year-on-year increase of over 60 percent, and the cross-border e-commerce trade volume amounted 8.92 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 252.3 percent.

The Sino-German Ecopark has established cooperation with enterprises from 21 countries such as Germany, the UK and Russia. In 2021, 41 key projects with a total value of 45.2 billion yuan were signed, and over 60 foreign economic and trading exchange activities were held.
