WND further promotes airport logistics

A ceremony was held on Jan 5 to mark the implementation of the "zone-airport linkage" development between Wuxi Sunan Shuofang International Airport and the WND Free Trade Zone. A direct airport freight station was unveiled the same day to support the effort.

The airport-WND FTZ freight station is the city's first such cargo station. Its warehouse spans 2,000 square meters and is well equipped to store and distribute general import and export goods and cross-border e-commerce cargoes. After the station is put into operation, the time needed from flight landing to arrival of cargoes at the enterprise will be reduced by 50 percent, according to a manager.

Since the beginning of this year, the global supply chain has encountered unprecedented difficulties. The WND FTZ administrative committee rose up to the challenge by improving the development model of "zone-airport linkage" and promoting the construction of an international distribution center for electronic components in the Yangtze River Delta, which helped stabilize the industrial supply chain.
