Xu Zeqing, a student at Beijing International Studies University, is on the way to the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games as a volunteer.

Since interviewing Yang Yang, China's first Winter Olympic gold medalist and chairwoman of the Beijing 2022 Athletes' Commission, during the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games, Xu has been looking forward to Beijing 2022.

In the interview, Yang talked about the infrastructure for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, the participation of Chinese athletes and her appointment as a member of the Winter Olympics Organizing Committee.

Xu is involved in the 2022 Winter Olympics as an external liaison-related volunteer, mainly working in the NOC service center and serving delegations, athletes and officials.

"I enrolled as a volunteer, not only to respond to the government's call, but also to contribute my own strength to the smooth convening of the Winter Olympics," Xu said.

Xu Zeqing (R1) serves as a student volunteer for the Winter Olympics in her position.

Xu has played badminton for 14 years and understands the hardships and difficulties of competitive sports, as well as the importance the Olympics has for athletes.

Encouraged by Yang, Xu will bring her knowledge and experience to the Beijing 2022 Games.
