2nd session of the 2nd CPPCC Huangpu District Committee opens

The second session of the 2nd Huangpu District Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference opened on Jan 20.

Gong Weihe, chairman of the CPPCC Huangpu District Committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the 2nd CPPCC Huangpu District Committee. Ma Jingke, vice chairman of the CPPCC Huangpu District Committee, made a report on local proposals.

Since the first session of the 2nd CPPCC Huangpu District Committee, Huangpu CPPCC members have made a large number of high-quality proposals concerning subjects such as the construction of a national knowledge center, the biomedicine industry, community governance, as well as the peaking of carbon dioxide emissions.

The second session of the 2nd CPPCC Huangpu District Committee opens on Jan 20.

Many of them were selected as the proposals of the CPPCC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, the CPPCC Guangdong Provincial Committee, and the CPPCC National Committee, or became key focuses at the symposiums of the CPPCC Guangzhou Municipal Committee.

In addition, the Huangpu CPPCC members have made nearly 100 suggestions related to the transportation system on Guangzhou International Bio Island, the development of private science and technology parks, as well as the construction of Hengsha book street as reference for the decision-making of Party committees and governments.

To ensure people's wellbeing, the CPPCC Huangpu District Committee received nearly 1,400 residents over the past year and helped address more than 300 livelihood issues.
