China Fencing Academy launched in Nanjing

The Fencing Academy of China was established at the Nanjing Sport Institute in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province on Jan 11.

Launched by the institute, the Chinese Fencing Association, and Jiangsu Provincial Sport Administration, the academy will focus on training professional athletes, coaches, trainers, and managerial talent. It will also engage in fencing-related research and development, as well as organize fencing events.

According to the Nanjing Sport Institute, a new training center that can provide more than 60 fencing strips for the academy will be built.

Wang Haibin, president of the Chinese Fencing Association, said the academy will help promote fencing culture in China.
