Guangzhou's Huangpu district has recently rolled out 10 measures to improve the taxation services for the "bringing in" and "going out" of enterprises.

For example, the time required for an export tax refund will be cut to within five working days, customized tutoring services will be offered to enterprises that seek overseas expansion, and the Certificate of Chinese Fiscal Resident can be applied for online.

Huangpu-based Guangzhou MINO Equipment is a national "little giant" (specialized, elaborative, characteristic, and innovative) enterprise that exports products to more than 10 countries and regions including North America, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia and South Africa.

Previously, the company was not fully aware of the fact that the taxes paid abroad can be offset in China or how to handle service export tax refunds, which resulted in missing opportunities of receiving income tax credit.

Fortunately, its path of "going out" has become smoother as the Huangpu district taxation bureau provides detailed instructions regarding taxation affairs, according to Wang Huayan, chief financial officer of Guangzhou MINO Equipment.

An official from the Huangpu district taxation bureau noted that the bureau will step up efforts to ensure that eligible enterprises enjoy preferential policies, assist local enterprises with their global expansion and contribute to trade and investment facilitation.
