Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province organized an online conference to promote its culture and tourism resources to Japanese travel agencies on Dec 1.

A promotion video about Nantong was broadcast to showcase the city's beautiful scenery, delicious delicacies, and the daily life of local residents before the promotion conference.

An overall introduction about Nantong's abundant tourism resources and profound culture was then given in Japanese.

Japan currently has become Nantong's largest source of inbound tourists and second largest source of foreign investment.

According to the Nantong municipal bureau of culture, broadcast, and tourism, the promotion conference strived to bolster relationships between Nantong and Japan, as well as to enhance their exchanges and cooperation in more fields.

The bureau will organize more online promotion conferences in collaboration with Nantong's foreign affairs office to expand the city's international profile with the goal of attracting more foreign tourists.
