As the former western capital of the Liao (916-1125) and Jin (1115-1234) dynasties, Datong in North China’s Shanxi province was of great military importance and witnessed rich cultural blending during ancient times.
Precious cultural relics from the Liao, Jin and Yuan dynasties from the collection of Datong Museum are on display at Mianyang Museum in Sichuan province until Dec 20, illustrating the history and culture dating back to that period of time.
