Its parent company Alibaba Group was founded in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province in 1999, and covers core commerce, cloud computing, digital media and entertainment, and innovation initiatives. On September 19, 2014, Alibaba Group officially listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
