Yantai deepens trade ties with North America

Agreements for three projects were inked between Yantai and multinational companies at the "Connecting Shandong with Fortune Global 500 & Deepening Shandong-North America Cooperation" event which was held in Jinan, Shandong province on Sept 29.

Yantai has in recent years been deepening its economic and trade cooperation with countries in North America. By August 2021, the city had approved a total of 1,183 US projects with a combined contract capital of $4.14 billion.A total of 326 Canada-invested projects with a contracted capital of $1.33 billion were also approved.

From January to August this year, US projects with a contractual foreign capital of $70.48 million were set up in Yantai. These projects are related to the automobile manufacturing, modern chemical and machinery manufacturing industries.
