Chinese electric car maker Wuling unveiled two colors on Thursday in Changsha, Hunan province, for the Macaron version of its popular Hongguang MINI EV.
Vehicles of the two colors, merlot blue and coconut white, will be available starting from the third quarter this year, said the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region-based company.
Wuling expects the new colors will appeal to its growing number of young customers.
Its statistics show that 75 percent of the Macaron's buyers are the post-90s generations and 78 percent of them are female.
Hongguang MINI EV, including the Macaron version, has seen its total deliveries exceed 370,000 units since its launch in the second half of 2020.
It has been the best-selling electric car model in China for the past 12 months and was the world's No 1 in January and April this year.
Wuling said its Hongguagn MINI EV has been sold to 330 cities across the country, and the company has installed over 113,000 charging poles in 260 cities.
