To celebrate the 7th International Festival of The Intangible Cultural Heritage of Chengdu, China, Chengdu Museum held a themed exhibition from September 27 to November 20, 2019, “Heavenly Hands: Contemporary Revival of Traditional Craftsmanship”. Here is a cyber version of this exhibition.
Nearly 100 exquisite piece of handicrafts, from across 16 categories and created by 16 ICH inheritors and 10 young designers, are on display in this virtual exhibition, including masterpieces of Shu Embroidery, porcelain-bodied bambooware, the silver jewelry of the Yi people, Luzhou Fenshui oilpaper umbrellas, and some modern works of young designers. The exhibit is the perfect fusion of traditional culture with modern taste and offers a visual feast of traditional culture.
