From the first-person perspective of “Guoqiang”, this virtual exhibition is themed around the changes of Chongqing from the day of its Liberation (Nov 30, 1949) up till the 70th anniversary of the founding of new China, in 2019. There are many restored true-to-nature scenes of life on display, including old pictures with captions and articles of daily use, such as cups, washbasins, clothes, bicycles, sewing machines, and mobile phones.
This exhibition enables you to experience the unique charm of the era, as well as to bear witness to the growth of Chongqing and the changes and development of China throughout the period.
