6 Huangpu projects to be prioritized by Guangdong

Six projects in Huangpu district were recently inducted as provincial key projects that will go through preliminary preparations this year.

With an investment of 8.6 billion yuan ($1.3 billion), construction of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) will be advanced with supportive facilities for customs supervision, business, high-end intelligent manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, and transportation.

Meanwhile, a total of 8 billion yuan will be invested in the construction of an integrated circuit industrial park in CSGKC as well as its supportive facilities.

A Hydrogen Valley will be built in the Guangzhou-Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation Park at a cost of 4.4 billion yuan. It will bring in enterprises from the entire industrial chain covering hydrogen fuel cell proton exchange membranes, catalysts, reactors, engine systems, hydrogenation facilities and hydrogen vehicles.

Swire Guangdong Coca-Cola will invest 1.2 billion yuan to build a green production base, which will be comprised of 13 beverage production lines, three-dimensional warehouses and supporting facilities.

The Hengyun natural gas power generation project in CSGKC will entail an investment of 2.5 billion yuan to build two 460MW gas-steam combined cycle units, a "one-to-one" single-shaft unit and a 30-km heating pipeline.

With an investment of 2.5 billion yuan, a modern agricultural innovation center will focus on scientific research, industrial incubation and science popularization related to space mutation breeding.
