Shanxi University holds graduation ceremony

The 2021 graduation ceremony and degree conferring ceremony of Shanxi University in Taiyuan city, capital of North China's Shanxi province, was held on June 23.

Huang Guitian, president of Shanxi University, made a graduation speech in which he urged the graduates to take their ancestors as models and write down their own dreams and triumphs as they rush towards a new starting point in life.

Representatives of teachers, alumni, counselors and graduates gave speeches. Alumni from all over the country recalled every facet of their university schooling in the form of videos and sent their best wishes to the graduates.

Wang Yanglin, Party secretary of the university and Huang Guitian awarded certificates to 26 outstanding academic thesis supervisors in Shanxi, while Huang also awarded trophies to 44 outstanding graduates.

A total of 2,130 master's degree students and 5,961 bachelor's degree graduates received academic degree certificates and graduation certificates at the ceremony.
