BEIJING -- China has seen its consumption environment continue to improve with complaints decreasing 7 percent year on year in the first half of 2021, association data showed Wednesday.

Consumers associations nationwide have recovered more than 700 million yuan (about 107.8 million U.S. dollars) of economic losses for consumers in the first half of the year, according to data from the China Consumers Association (CCA).

During the period, the associations have received about 520,000 complaints, and have resolved around 410,000 or nearly 80 percent of the total, according to the CCA.

In the service sector, the most-complained fields were life and social services, internet services and education and training, while in terms of consumer goods, most complaints were related to home appliances, daily necessities and food, said the CCA.
