Seven villages in Hechi city won the honor of being part of the 100 outstanding autonomous-region-level pilot villages and communities for rural revitalization and reform, which was announced by the Agricultural and Rural System Reform Special Group Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region recently.

Guangxi will give a monetary reward of 500,000 yuan ($77,137) to each of the seven villages upon approval.

Here is the list of the seven award-winning villages in Hechi: Hezhai village in  Yizhou district's Pingnan town, Chenshuang village in Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county's Sien town, Baping village in Nandan county's Mangchang town, Muzhai village in Yizhou district's Anma town, Pinglin village in Bama Yao autonomous county's Natao town, Dongli village in Donglan county's Wuzhuan town, and Dading village in Duan Yao autonomous county's Disu town.

Hechi has made great achievements in rural revitalization during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20). Most notably, 765,200 poverty-stricken people, 817 poverty-stricken villages, and 10 poverty-stricken counties and districts in Hechi were all lifted out of poverty. The added value of the city's primary industry is higher than the average level of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The increase of rural residents' per capita disposable income ranks at the forefront of the whole region.
