Online Chinese Program E for 2021 Fall

Do you want to study Chinese, but you don’t have the time for a full-time study program? The International Cultural Exchange School (ICES) has a solution for you: Online Program E, a course that lets you study comprehensive Chinese in three online classes a week. The program is now open for registration and what’s more: there are tuition discounts available for current/past students!

What's the main difference or advantage do you think between Progarm E and other regular language programs?

The language program E at Donghua University is perfect for me because 3 times a week is good for learning faster and better but I cannot do more than 3 times a week because I'm working. 01 INTRODUCTION

TEACHING METHOD

The course is taught fully online.

COURSE INFORMATION

Study Duration:

From September 6 to December 16, 2021.

Class Time：

Every Mon. Wed. and Thurs.

From 18:30 to 20:45 (Beijing time).

Relevant Fees：

Application Fee: CNY 400

Tuition Fee: CNY 5,500

* If you are a currently-enrolled or a past student at Donghua University, the application fee will be waived, and you are eligible for a tuition discount. Please consult ICES Office 121 for more information.

TEACHING PLAN

Schedule：

Each day of class has 2 hours of live teaching, and one hour of self-study with tailored learning materials and software.

* 1 class hour = 45 minutes.

Class levels available：

Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced

* The minimum number of students in each class is 8.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Program E does not come with the possibility to apply for a Chinese student visa or on-campus accommodation.

The part-time Chinese programs C/D/F are currently unavailable. If you originally planned to apply for one of these programs, you are recommended to choose Program E.

02 HOW TO APPLY

1 APPLY ONLINE

Submit your application online at http://admissions.dhu.edu.cn/. ICES will get in touch with you via email after the application review is approved.

Application deadline: August 18, 2021.

2 ONLINE TEST (NEW STUDENTS ONLY)

After registration, new students are asked to take an online written test at a designated time. You will be assigned to a class based on the test result. Current students’ level will be decided based on their previous class level.

3 TRIAL CLASS

It is possible to partake in a trial class, free of charge on the first day of the program. After the trial, you can decide whether or not to enroll.

4 PAYMENT

You are asked to use online payment for the Registration Fee and Tuition Fee.

* After payment, students are in principle not eligible for a refund.

03 REQUIRED ONLINE

LEARNING SOFTWARE & HARDWARE:

 A computer with properly functioning audio, camera and headphones;

 A smooth internet connection; WeChat and various learning software installed (the teacher will provide guidance on this)；

 A calm, quiet environment, suitable for learning.
