Located in the Yunhe Sanwan Scenic Spot and covering 13.33 hectares (200 mu ), the China Grand Canal Museum is a modern and comprehensive facility dedicated to cultural relics preservation, academic research and exhibition, and leisure experiences.
The museum consists of two structures: a main building designed like a giant sailing boat ready to set off from the bank of the canal, and a Grand Canal Pagoda in the style of a Tang Dynasty (618-907) tower.
Opened to the public on June 16, 2021, the museum is home to 11 permanent exhibitions that showcase the history and culture of the Grand Canal and the benefits it has brought to people.
