The city of Hechi in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region hosted a conference on June 1, which saw government officials and officials from tech giant Huawei Technologies gather to talk about smart city construction and the launch of a smart government service center.
During the conference, Huawei Technologies Guangxi Branch introduced its work plan regarding Hechi smart city projects, and officials from Hechi's various government departments shared their insights on project construction.
The projects are of great significance to Hechi and through them, the city will be able to lay a solid foundation for its future development and ensure it keeps up with the pace of the times, Wang Jun, mayor of Hechi, noted at the conference.
The mayor also underlined the importance of promoting the projects' construction to ensure smooth delivery. Wang called on further service applications, including rural telemedicine and elderly care services at home, and encouraged coordination between smart city projects and new infrastructure construction in Hechi.
Shen Xiusong, general manager of Government and Enterprise Business at Huawei Technologies Guangxi, said at the meeting that his company will also strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Hechi in other industries in addition to smart city construction, and jointly promote the digital transformation and upgrading of Hechi.
