A group of sites of early revolutionary activities of the Communist Party of China opened to tourists on Tuesday in Beijing after renovations or exhibitions were upgraded, according to local authorities.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, the capital city has planned and launched the protection, inheritance and utilization of the sites where early Beijing revolutionary activities took place to explore their historic value and significance to the present age.

As center of the New Culture Movement and origin of the May Fourth Movement, Beijing is the place that saw the early spread of Marxism in China and a key locus in the Party's founding.
