Xi'an aerospace industrial base recognized nationally

Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base was recently rated as a 5A-level industrial base by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, becoming the only place in Northwest China to win the honor.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology evaluated the overall level of 416 industrial bases in the country, as well as their industrial strength, quality and efficiency, innovation level, green intensive safety, integrated development and development environment.

As the country’s only national-level economic and technological development zone focused on the aerospace industry, Xi'an aerospace industrial base has attracted a number of companies from the sector, such as the Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The base actively promoted the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial development in the construction of major national projects, including Beidou navigation, the lunar exploration project and manned spaceflight.

It has international competitiveness in the field of aerospace equipment manufacturing. It has also reached the advanced international development level for aerospace carrier power, satellite payload, inertial navigation and control components.

In 2020, the growth rate of the industrial added value of Xi'an aerospace industrial base was 21.7 percent, ranking first among the city’s development zones.

At present, the aerospace industrial base is focusing on high-tech transformation in emerging fields such as big data, 5G applications, artificial intelligence and commercial aerospace.
