Projects worth 35.34b yuan signed in WHDZ in Q1 of 2021

The 2021 first-quarter business projects signing ceremony - where projects worth 35.34 billion yuan ($5.38 billion) were signed off for Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) - was held in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, on March 24.

The new projects are in fields of automobiles, finance, smart cities, agriculture and digital economy.

Dongfeng Automobile Co plans to base its NEV sales headquarters and R&D center in WHDZ. The sales headquarters is expected to market all of the company's NEVs except Dongfeng Voyah.

China Merchants Property Development Co (Wuhan) will invest in 5G smart city projects.

Wuhan Jiachen Automobile Technology Co decided to invest in a production line that manufactures smart high voltage NEV distribution systems. The new line will churn out systems for 800,000 NEVs annually.

Beijing JiAo JinHe Agriculture Co will build a large-scale agricultural park boasting an annual sales volume of 513 million yuan. It will offer employment for more than 300 people.
