Shenyang Customs provides support for China-Europe train services

Shenyang Customs will launch four new measures to boost the development of the China-Europe freight train this year.

The measures aim to improve the efficiency and convenience of cargo transportation and customs clearance.

In the new year, Shenyang Customs will implement a new business model focused on fast customs clearance for railway entry and exit.

The new model requires the person in charge of inbound and outbound railway trains to transmit the electronic railway manifest data to the customs department. The customs officers will review and write off the data in accordance with the regulations.

Railway operating enterprises no longer need to declare customs information and go through customs transit procedures separately.

Shenyang Customs will strengthen the flow of goods between the Shenyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone and other bonded areas and form a central international logistics channel. It will continuously improve the regional comprehensive competitive advantages and work to maximize their impact.

The provincial customs department will also support Shenyang to transform into a gathering center for China-Europe freight trains and follow up the construction of the Berrelast Logistics Park in Moscow, Russia.

Last year, Shenyang Customs made every effort to improve the operational quality and efficiency of China-Europe freight trains. Meanwhile, the number of China-Europe freight trains under the department's supervision increased by 61.5 percent during the same year.
