CIIE's spillover effect is not only reflected in various industries but also in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Jiangsu's culture and tourism administrator has taken advantage of the ongoing China International Import Expo to promote the province's rich tourism resources and welcome exhibitors and participants to visit after the expo.

With one-sixth of its area occupied by water, Jiangsu province is well known for its beautiful streams and water features such as the famous Taihu Lake. The province also boasts numerous historic and cultural relics. For example, it is home to three sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list, including Suzhou's classical gardens which were built between the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) and the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the Imperial Tombs of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and the Great Canal.

The province also has 10 art forms on the world intangible cultural heritage list, including Nanjing's Yunjin brocade, Suzhou-style embroidery, Yangzhou's lacquer work, Yixing ceramic, Lianyungang's crystal and Nantong's blue print cloth.
