Undergraduates from all over the country gathered in Xindu Industrial Park in Changshan county – administered by the prefecture-level city of Quzhou, in East China's Zhejiang province -- to jointly unveil the emblem for a pioneering business park on Oct 28, according to local officials.

The Changshan College Student Business Park, with a total investment of 60 million yuan ($8.98 million), features an office building with a floorspace of 3,346 square meters and two storage centers covering a total of 2,247 sq m. The facility is a business incubator base integrating offices, logistics, storage, catering and leisure activities.

To date, the park has attracted 24 companies -- including leading smartphone and smart device maker Xiaomi Corp -- to settle there. It has also helped 102 people to find jobs and start businesses in the park, with the latter achieving annual sales of more than 200 million yuan.

"In recent years, Changshan has actively implemented a strategy of strengthening the county with talent," said a top park manager.

"Through policy guidance, the county has built various platforms for entrepreneurship and innovation to attract college students to start businesses and find jobs there, injecting strong impetus into local development," the manager added.
