Exec with 'Chinese heart' helps poor in Hunan

The Party committee of his company helped the village expand its sales channels for beef raised there. In 2019, he launched a strategy to help poor families one by one. The company has worked out detailed aid plans based on each family's specific difficulties.

Over the past year, he has donated 12,000 yuan ($1,481) to Wang. She has used it for tuition at the high-quality urban schools.

"I appreciate that her English is improving when communicating with me," he said.

He vows to sponsor Wang until she completes her studies in middle school. "Even if I leave for Brazil, I will continue to sponsor her," he said.

He said he also noticed dramatic changes in the village after local governments at different levels launched a massive campaign to help the needy and boost local villagers' incomes in recent years.
