It was his recognition of the country's policy and his willingness to provide help to the needy that inspired him to join the campaign of his company and do his bit, he said.

"My first visit to the village led me to reflect on my hometown in Brazil," he recalled. "It was a small township with a population of 10,000, and I lived there from age 6 to 15."
