Nandan generates $247m in tourism consumption from Jan-July

As Nandan county promotes tourism development, its tourism industry has continuously made new achievements. From January to July this year, the county has received 1,398,100 tourists and generated a total tourism consumption of 1.69 billion yuan ($247.46 million).

At present, the county has two national 4A-level scenic spots, three 3A-level scenic spots, two national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration sites, two national industrial tourism demonstration sites, one national agricultural tourism demonstration site, one autonomous region-level five-star and four-star rural tourist areas, one national four-star tourist hotel, as well as four three-star tourist hotels.

An international hot spring resort, with an investment of 200 million yuan, will open on National Day this year, while the Jiulonggou Forest Resort, with an investment of 1 billion yuan, has completed its preliminary work.

Based on the 5A-level scenic spot standards and civilized tourism construction requirements, the county has built a scenic spot management system including guided tours and electronic ticket purchases. Tourist distribution centers and large parking lots in key scenic spots have been built, while tourism buses were operated to help visitors easily access the scenic spots.

Nandan has built a safety supervision and industry management system, carrying out the inspection and supervision of the county's tourist attractions, hotels, as well as tourist reception units. In the first half of this year, the county conducted four tourism safety inspections, checking 14 tourism enterprises and scenic spots.

In addition, the Baikuyao culture of Nandan has been created as a well-known brand of the county's. Cultural tourism products with local characteristics, such as Danquan wine, Baping rice, Liulong tea, as well as Baikuyao ethnic traditional clothing and handmade dolls, have also been introduced to tourists.
