In recent years, Bama Yao autonomous county of Hechi has deepened the innovative application of big data in various industries, cultivated its big data industry, and developed its internet economy, striving to build a digital government, a digital economy, as well as a digital society.

Bama has promoted the construction of the China-ASEAN (Bama) Big Data Cloud Computing Base and the Bama Fund Digital Town.

The big data cloud computing base possesses an investment of 39 million yuan ($5.69 million). After completion, it will fully support the big data innovation application needs of government affairs, big data industry enterprises, and key industries in Shenzhen,Guangdong province, Guangxi, and ASEAN countries, becoming one of the most influential large-scale green data centers in Guangxi.

The Bama Fund Digital Town has an investment of 12 million yuan. The project is an important platform for Bama's industrial transformation and upgrading, as well as supports the development of the big health industry, which can vigorously promote the development of the digital economy.

Bama has established a public service platform to help reduce taxes and fees. Based on the Shenzhen-Bama Big Health Cooperative Special Pilot Zone, with the help of advanced technologies like big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI), the platform is an all-around supervision system integrating business, technology, and supervision, which was officially launched in June 2020.

The platform has effectively implemented tax reduction and fee reduction policies. It has strengthened the service capabilities of small, medium, and micro enterprises, as well as self-employed individuals. It has also changed the regional fiscal taxation model, as well as promoted the poverty alleviation cooperation between the eastern and western regions.

The county has further boosted education and medical development through information technologies, such as cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and mobile internet, realizing high-quality resource sharing and improving service capabilities.

In addition, Bama has set up an open, modular, and intelligent credit information database system for rural areas, as well as established electronic credit information files for each credit subject.
