Hechi's foreign trade exceeds $271m in Jan-July

From January to July, Hechi's total imports and exports reached 1.88 billion yuan ($271.78 million), an increase of 41 percent year-on-year, completing 58 percent of the annual target task, with the increase ranking first among all 14 prefecture-level cities of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Its total import value was 162.56 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 58 percent, while the actual use of foreign capital was $5.63 million, a year-on-year increase of 174 percent.

Due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, market consumption was sluggish. Hechi has taken a number of online and offline measures to promote the recovery of the consumer market. The city has organized 20,767 physical stores and 4,099 online shops to participate in a shopping festival. Two department-level leaders and 11 deputy county (district) chiefs in the city carried out 14 live streaming activities to promote 53 kinds of local specialties and achieved great results.

During the shopping festival, a total of 6.43 million consumer vouchers were issued and used by residents in the city, generating more than 100 million yuan in sales. An automobile consumption festival was also launched by more than 40 automobile sales companies and more than 60 automobile brands, achieving on-site sales and sales intentions of more than 800 cars, with a total value of more than 100 million yuan.
