China's first quantum computing science education base, the Origin Quantum Computing Experience Center, opened in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone on Aug 6.
Visitors can learn about the development, application and future trends of quantum computing and try programming using tools provided by the center.
The center is home to the country's first superconducting and semiconductor quantum computer prototypes, developed by Origin Quantum. The two prototypes are scheduled to open to the public via the company's cloud platform by the end of this year.
At the opening ceremony, Origin Quantum also launched the world's first quantum learning machine, combining full physical system and 3D virtual simulation technology, which can help users see and understand the R&D process of quantum computing machines.
Quantum computing is a cutting-edge field but faces a shortage of talent. To help people who are interested in or engaged with the field learn more about the technology, Origin Quantum launched an education business besides its main business of R&D into quantum computing systems.
The company will bank on its experience center, quantum learning machine, and professional training team and cooperate with key universities and scientific research institutes to create a new quantum computing education ecology in China.
