According to the Hechi commerce bureau, the city's e-commerce coverage rate has reached 81.8 percent to date, while the rural e-commerce coverage rate has reached 72.7 percent.

Since the beginning of this year, Hechi has focused on developing nine rural demonstration counties, including Du'an, Dahua, Luocheng, Huanjiang, Tian'e, Nandan, Donglan, Bama, and Fengshan, to further build public services platforms, optimize logistics distribution systems, carry out e-commerce talent training, as well as increase farmers' incomes.

In the first half of this year, the nine counties built 307 service sites and 233 logistics distribution outlets, trained 4,231 people in rural e-commerce, and cultivated 94 agricultural products for online sales. E-commerce has helped impoverished people sell products worth 8.77 million yuan ($1.26 million) and increased their incomes by 4.23 million yuan, helping a total of 671 impoverished people find employment.

Since 2015, Hechi has established 876 e-commerce service sites and 744 logistics distribution outlets, accumulated online retail sales of 431.95 million yuan, as well as cultivated 360 single products for online sales. It has helped impoverished people sell 33.43 million yuan in products and increased their revenue by 13.91 million yuan.

The growth of e-commerce has directly driven the city's economy. In the first half of this year, the city achieved 33.1 million yuan in consumption-driven poverty alleviation efforts through e-commerce. During this year's Sanyuesan Festival, 24,867 merchants in Hechi participated in the consumption promotion activities, including 20,767 offline stores and 4,099 online stores. A total of 14 live streaming activities have attracted more than 2 million views and generated more than 10 million yuan in sales.
