The port city of Dalian in China’s northeastern Liaoning province is known for its abundance of water resources. The Biliu River, Yingna River, Zhuanghe River, Zanzi River, Dasha River, Dengsha River, Qingshui River and Malan River in the region flow into the Yellow Sea. Meanwhile, the Fuzhou River, Liguancun River and Shanshilipu River flow into the Bohai Sea. The Biliu River is the biggest river in Dalian and a major source of drinking water. The city is also home to more than 200 small rivers.

Fresh water resources in Dalian total 3.79 billion cubic meters per year, of which, 3.42 cubic meters is surface water.
