After more than 20 days of training, a total of 24 disabled people from 11 counties and districts of Hechi has successfully passed the assessment on June 27 and became a new batch of online customer service staff of the Taobao e-commerce platform.

Online customer service is a new business service model launched by Taobao, an online shopping platform of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, in 2010, in which customer service staff can provide services to Taobao members online from their own homes. They are paid according to their service duration and different levels.

Prior to their training, the trainees seldom shopped online or even typed because of their physical disabilities. Most of the trainees were very new to Taobao's customer service. Teachers instructed them on typing and familiarized them with the shopping process, giving the trainees a patient and meticulous introduction and explanation to the contents of the customer service platform according to the assessment requirements.

The person in charge of the training class noted that online customer service staff work up to six hours a day. It is an ideal job for disabled people as staff members can choose their working period according to their own schedule to provide online Taobao buyers and sellers with consulting services.

In the future, the employment situation of the disabled trainees at home will be further tracked to help them solve any difficulties they encounter, ensuring that every trainee who passed the assessment can be successfully employed.
