June 25: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 24, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 19 new cases of confirmed infections (5 imported cases, 3 in Gansu province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Shaanxi province; 14 indigenous cases, 13 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Hebei province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 5 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 415 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 3.
As of 24:00 on June 24, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,893 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,805 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 88 confirmed cases (including 1 in serious condition) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 24, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,449 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,433 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 382 confirmed cases (including 15 cases in serious condition) and 13 suspected cases. 760,157 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,011 were still under medical observation.
On June 24, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 1 new asymptomatic case (an imported case). 4 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 3 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 24, 97 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 57 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 24, 1,670 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,179 in Hong Kong (6 had died and 1,086 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 446 in Taiwan (7 had died and 435 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
