On June 22, Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality awarded plates to the first batch of institutions to become partners of the area's national overseas talent offshore innovation and entrepreneurship base.

The institutions include five cooperation centers in China and three overseas stations. Of these, the Sino-Swiss Technopark in Liangjiang has implemented resource sharing with an overseas station in the canton of St Gallen, Switzerland.

The St Gallen station has established cooperative relationships with Switzerland's investment promotions associations, and signed with over 30 global companies and institutions.

Relying on an annual international innovation and entrepreneurship competition held by the Sino-Swiss Technopark in Liangjiang, the park and St Gallen station will keep attracting international projects to Liangjiang. So far, over 40 overseas projects have invested in the park.

Another partner, Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made progresses in intelligent manufacturing, electronic information and the ecological environment since it launched in Liangjiang.

The institute aims to attract more overseas talents, technologies and teams to build a first-class overseas talent cooperation platform, and explore innovative uses of technologies.

Liangjiang's national overseas talent offshore innovation and entrepreneurship base was approved in 2019. After a year of development, the base has become a key platform to boost Liangjiang's innovation and talent attraction.
