June 13: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 12, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 11 new cases of confirmed infections (6 indigenous cases in Beijing municipality and 5 imported cases, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Guangdong province, 1 in Hainan province and 1 in Sichuan province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 2 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 635 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. There remained no serious cases.

As of 24:00 on June 12, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,808 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,742 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 66 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.

As of 24:00 on June 12, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,075 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,367 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 74 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. So far, 751,383 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 3,197 are now under medical observation.

On June 12, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 7 new asymptomatic cases (including 5 imported cases). 13 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 2 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 12, 98 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 48 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 12, 1,596 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,108 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 1,060 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 443 in Taiwan (7 had been dead and 431 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
